Working 9-5

Since leaving the Executive in January, I haven’t exactly been what you would call furthering my career. Sure, working as an office monkey in Granton is just about as challenging and exciting as it gets, but it doesn’t exactly have prospects. Hopefully that should soon all change, given that this week I’ve been on (count them) not just one but two whole interviews. Behold my dynamism. Yesterday I was down at the Scottish Parliament, and today I was out in Dalkeith. Both seemed to go quite well (today probably more so than yesterday), so fingers crossed I might once more be in the position of having such fabled luxuries as bank holidays, sick pay, and even (whisper it) a pension scheme! Will wonders never cease …

I trust the prospect of gainful employment also increases the likelihood of a southerly visit?
